Yep, it's true, there really are millions and millions of people out there surfing the Internet. The reason you couldn't see or talk to them until now is because they've been hiding behind a huge pile of fiber optic cables. ...Kidding!

No, the real reason you can't see your fellow Internauts is that you need a special program that makes them visible on your computer screen. That's what Odigo does. With its people-finding "radar", Odigo shows you who's surfing on the same site as you - or on any other website - at this very moment. All you have to do is click on any person icon, open a message window, and start chatting. With Odigo, a world of new friends is just waiting for you to say "hola!"

Plus, it's a snap to send files or URLs with Odigo. Online or offline, in any language, Odigo leaves all other communication tools in the dust.

New! New in Odigo 3:
Optional automatic pop-up of incoming messages
To have your messages pop open when they arrive, instead of displaying the flashing notification icons, select this option from Tools -> Messages.

Every Odigo member surfing the Internet is represented by a face picture of their choosing, which you can see when you mouse-over the people icons in the People Finder. Right-click on any of the faces, and you can view the Details Card of any Odigo member, where they've listed all the information about themselves that they want other members to know, including gender, age, country, languages, interests, occupation, zodiac, and marital status. Like what you see? Click on the Talk… button. A message window opens, and you can start chatting up somebody who has no idea what you look like or how fast you eat!

Odigo members of all ages and with specific interests can be found in any geographical location you want. Use Odigo's search engine to find exactly the person you want to meet; put together a group with a common interest, like Olympic sports; or get online to practice your Italian with a businessman from Rome.

Find fish-lovers; meet musicians; trade recipes with Russians. What have you always wanted to do? The possibilities are limited only by your own fears and insec - er...imagination.

New! New in Odigo 3:
Search for other users by nickname, email, and username
Finding users you've met before just got a whole lot easier. Plug in their Odigo ID number, if you've got it, or their nickname, email address, or real (as registered) name.
A full list of search results will be displayed.

Voice chat capability
Now your friends can hear your voice too, assuming you've got the requisite hardware (sound card and microphone).

Odigo keeps a private list for you of people you've recently been in contact with, as well as a Friends List, so you'll always know if people you've added are currently online. That way, you're never more than a click away from communicating with that person again. Or not.

New! New in Odigo 3:
Optional history pane in message window
In case you get amnesia, click on the History button to check previous correspondence with that person. The new version of Odigo is set to automatically display recent history in an extra pane above your regular message window. If desired, this option can be turned off (from Preferences), to return to the simple message window.

Friends list in separate, resizable window
Wow, it's detachable and dockable! Minimize Odigo while keeping only your Friends List on your desktop, make it any size you want, and dock it at the side of your screen. Finally, independence!

For people who have already accumulated a list of ICQ or America Online Instant Messanger buddies, Odigo adds them to your Friends List with one simple operation. This way, you easily communicate via Odigo even with those friends who aren't running Odigo ... and you never need to launch ICQ or AIM again. If you already have Odigo Messenger installed, go to download page to add latest versions of the AOL & ICQ interoperability plugins. To learn more about Odigo's commitment to connectivity between messaging platforms, go to the interoperability main page.

If you are working in a networked environment and behind a HTTP Proxy, no problem, Odigo works behind Firewalls too.

Odigo's interface allows you to control your visibility and therefore accessibility. You can be visible to all or to none, or visible to others only in the site you're surfing, or even only in the page of the site.

New! New in Odigo 3:
Friends-Only Visibility Mode
Now you can choose to be visible only to users on your Friends List. This means you can chat with a friend without being interrupted by incoming messages from other users, no matter where you're surfing.

Plus, if somebody's making a pest of himself, all you have to do is hit the Ignore User button, and poof - he's gone (well, the poor guy still exists, but only on your Ignore List and in his dreams).

Odigo has other ways to help you express your individuality: One is the mood icon, with which you can select from a variety of options, from "indifferent" to "flirtatious" to "depressed". The other is the intentions icon: Tell people if you're here to make small talk, find romance, or be surprised.

Go ahead: Re-create your state of mind!

Want to know where the action is? With one click, Odigo displays a bar graph showing all the sites members are viewing right now, with the hottest sites at the top.

Wherever you're surfing, there's no need to be lonely tonight. Site-specific chat is just a click away, right on the Odigo interface. And you can leave that chat window open on your screen while you join the chat on another site. In fact, you can chat-hop all night if you're feelin' in the mood.

As long as you're online, you can leave notes posted on any site you like, just waiting for someone else to come surfing along and see what you've said. 'Course, once you go offline, those notes will disappear like footprints in the sand…

One of GBN Odigo's most exciting features is its awesome topic-based website directory covering 10,000 subjects. Meticulously compiled by professional editors, this unique search engine is unmatched in its thoroughness, and is especially valuable when you need information on a particular subject fast - in almost any language.

Got a website (maybe your own homepage) you'd like to track in real time? Just fill in the URL and keep the Homepager on your screen. It displays the number of GBN Odigo users on your page right now, and even shows the number of notes that have been posted. "Gone to Odigo -- see ya later!"

The GBN Odigo interface has a mini-browser window that can display streaming media or other content. Future versions of Odigo will include several channels from news, entertainment and business providers, as well as information from some of Odigo's co-branding partners.

Every GBN Odigo user gets an ID number when they register. If you don't want to be found easily by others, you can hide this ID, but you can also put any users you choose on your Ignore List, so that no messages from them come through to you.
